Fingerprint Recognition
Preferred
Fingerprint Recognition
Access Control Biometric Recognition Technology
Fingerprint systems analyse the locations of the endings and bifurcations of the friction ridges on the pad of your finger. Often, additional information, such as the number of ridges on the finger is also used. A number of methods exist to capture fingerprints: optical capture uses visible light, capacitive sensors use electrical current conducted through the finger, and ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves. Contact sensors capture an image of the ridge pattern in contact with the sensor, while contactless sensors effectively take an image (2D or 3D, depending on the system) of the ridge pattern while the finger is held a distance away from the sensor.
Iris Recognition
Preferred
Iris Recognition
Access Control Biometric Recognition Technology
Iris recognition captures images of the eye using infrared light. Iris melanin is transparent under infrared illumination; this allows iris detail to be revealed regardless of eye colour. Iris recognition is considered to have a very low false match rate and is often selected to be used where population sizes are large. Liveness detection adds a layer of additional protection to identify a real person is present. Liveness detection methods may involve observing the location of reflections as illumination angles are changed, or movements of the pupil are measured. Iris recognition is a relatively secure biometric method of recognising people. This is in part due to the high level of discrimination across a population that can be achieved. Iris recognition can be fairly robust against presentation attacks for systems with an adequate liveness check, due to the difficulty in obtaining and presenting the necessary high-quality images.
Speaker Recognition
Preferred
Speaker Recognition
Access Control Biometric Recognition Technology
Speaker recognition is based on the sound of the voice. Speaker recognition has two forms: • Text dependent - with the subject uttering a specific password or pass phrase. • Text independent - with the subject speaking in an unconstrained manner. Speakers are recognised based on the differences between their speech patterns and a “universal background model” of general speakers of the same language. Factors such as vocal tract, accent, rhythm, intonation, choice of vocabulary, are used to identify each unique voice.
The Face Recognition Company
CMC
The Face Recognition Company
Access Control Biometric Recognition Technology
Offers an accurate three- part fully integrated system (CCTV Cameras, Server and Software) to watch points of entry. The system detects unauthorised visitors by recognising faces that have previously been flagged, before alerting Security Officers of their presence. Officers are alerted either by a user-friendly app, SCR or ARC. The CMC has the capability to support this function. The RTC facial recognition system operate in low visibility environments and with near real time recognition. This solution does not replace the need for existing CCTV systems but is a proactive and complementary tool. As such, the RTC provides additional, high-quality and accurate information to existing on-site security solutions. The FRC is capable of processing partial face information by utilising visible information and other data from the obstructed features to identify an individual. For instance, individuals wearing sunglasses, hats, face masks, changes in facial hair etc.
Vein Pattern Recognition
Preferred
Vein Pattern Recognition
Access Control Biometric Recognition Technology
Blood vessels on the human body form distinctive patterns that are unique to each person. Vein patterns are captured by illuminating body region with infrared light and photographing the reflected light. The blood vessels absorb infrared light more than the surrounding tissue so appears darker in the acquired image. Vein pattern recognition utilises parts of the body that can be easily presented to the sensor such as palms, fingers, wrists or the back of the hand. Although there is no explicit presentation attack detection, the difficulty in imaging vein patterns provides some protection against spoofing attacks. Likewise, vein biometric data is hard to duplicate so unsophisticated attackers are likely to present their own vein biometric data (typically palm or finger) to the sensor in the hope that they match with an enrolled biometric reference stored in the database. The chance of success is then determined by the false match rate of the system which is generally low enough for success to be highly unlikely. Due to the internal nature of the vein pattern, specialised hardware and the cooperation of the target is necessary to acquire a vein pattern image.

The CPMC enables management or the security team to instantly communicate with staff on site by notifying in times of importance, or when entering a danger zone. This tool is essential when needing to communicate quickly with large groups. For instance, to warn of danger/risks, fire alarms, evacuation, medical emergencies. Templates can be created for future use to further streamline emergency comms. By streamlining communication channels, the information is not diluted by regular alerts that can be easily ignored. This tool will also increase all colleagues’ situational awareness on site. This tool is used in conjunction with geofencing. Organisations are able to geofence certain zones to ensure that only the necessary groups are contacted or certain dangerous zones. Features of the Corps Protect Mass Communication include: • Push notifications to alert colleagues of major incidents or when entering dangerous zones. • Two-way audio to allow both site teams and regional managers to relay information, call for help and offer support. • Custom maps to highlight nearby defibrillators and trauma packs; as well as other nearby Corps Security sites. • Read receipts and status check-ins to mark site and team as ‘safe’ or ‘need help.’ The Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) is able to assist with distributing the notifications and houses a dedicated live map of all sites. When an alert is signalled, the site would flag ‘red’ and the CMC would be able to monitor the situation and assist as needed e.g. contacting the emergency services. CCTV Sensor Activated Monitoring
Corps Monitoring Centre Monitoring Technology
Sensor activated CCTV monitoring is highly effective in preventing break-ins – protecting your people, property, and assets. Using a wide range of sensor technologies, sensor activated CCTV monitoring alerts through to the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) the moment unauthorised access or movement is detected. The CMC instantly receives the CCTV signal and can deal with the issue in real time. Via state-of-the-art technology, our professional security operatives can instantly see what is going on and can take relevant action. If it is a false alarm – a piece of rubbish blowing around or a fox, for example – the alarm will be merely recorded in our comprehensive reporting dashboard, Corps Secure. If the incident is of a more serious nature and raises cause for concern, we notify relevant parties or our security patrol team, and take immediate action to resolve the issue, including despatching the emergency services where appropriate. Within seconds of an alarm activating, our monitoring centre will be able to view and accurately provide verification of the situation. Our sensor activated CCTV monitoring services provide a real-time response to any emergency. Our average CCTV response times are less than 20 seconds – this is well under the NSI Gold requirement which stipulates that 80% of CCTV alerts are responded to within 90 seconds, and 98.5% within 180 seconds. Not only does having a sensor activated CCTV monitoring system act as a deterrent in many cases, it gives building owners peace of mind that their staff and visitors are safeguarded. This assures them that they can leave their property unattended with confidence that it will remain protected.

Barrier-mounted PIDS
CMC Preferred
Barrier-mounted PIDS
Intruder Detection PIDS Technology
Barrier-mounted PIDS are type of proactive security measure for early detection of intruders on site. They are attached to a barrier e.g. high security fence. They do not offer any delay measures themselves but do provide the earliest possible warning of a potential intrusion. Barrier-mounted PIDS also act as a strong deterrent for intruders. Trigger an alert to the Security Control Room, whilst the intruder is still outside of site. This delay enables the SCR to verify the alarm and deploy the relevant officers. The CMC has the capability to support this function. Important to find the correct balance between detection sensitivity and false alarming is achieved. This is because if sensitivity of the PIDS is set too high, there may be too many alarms to verify. However, if the sensitivity is set too low, the site may be compromised without security personnel being aware. Types of Barrier-mounted PIDS: • Vibration Sensor Cables and Point Sensors are most common types of Barrier-mounted PIDS. They are installed at the length of perimeter fence and detect vibrations. • Microphonic PIDS listen out for different frequencies associated with climbing or cutting intrusion attempts. They can suffer from high false alarm rates. • Fibre optic systems measure light variations through their fibre cause. Increased vibrations during intrusion attempts disrupts this light and triggers an alarm. Fibre Optic systems are most commonly deployed on sites with large perimeters. • Accelerometer-based sensors are placed at strategic locations along a fence line and can provide a very accurate location of any attempted intrusion. • Electric Fence PIDS pass an electric current through a wire system. If the fence is compromised, the circuit will short and trigger an alarm.

Clearway inView Detect PID System
Intruder Detection PIDS Technology
Clearway’s inView Detect is an autonomous intrusion detection system utilising battery and solar power that facilitates rapid deployment, combined with simplistic set up, to a wide variety of applications such as construction sites, vacant properties, land, plant and machinery, and areas requiring immediate security cover. It is a free-standing solution that monitors and detects any form of intrusion. It also offers full 360° coverage with the option to arm and disarm remotely or locally with ease. Upon activation an alert is rapidly verified through the integral AI System and a series of images sent to our NSI Gold Accredited Alarm Receiving Centre, the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC), to verify the cause of the alert and ensure that any security protocols are instantly followed, whilst also providing all site-specific information. Each security surveillance unit can be programmed to exclude animals and wildlife (up to 80 cm tall) by utilising the animal immunity setting. inView Detect features include: • No on-site services needed: our towers are powered by solar energy and high-capacity batteries requiring the minimum of maintenance. Communication and monitoring is via the mobile network. • In-built capacity for night illumination and infrared vision to provide a visual deterrent and capture data and CCTV footage 24 hours a day. • Communication via a mobile network, so there is no requirement for mains power or a fixed internet connection, and arm / disarm features enable customisation and control on the go, supported by monitoring from a remote location. • Fully weatherproof: the towers are designed to withstand prolonged external exposure and adverse weather conditions. • Independent function: our towers are designed to be left unmanned for long periods of time and, once installed, perform with minimal maintenance. • Swift setup: this is a rapid deployment CCTV tower, with quick installation/configuration. They should be used on flat ground and in environments that will maximise their performance and minimise false alarms. Free-standing PIDS need to be protected from intrusion attempts as they can be highly visible. However its visibility can act as a strong deterrent.
Free-standing PIDS
CMC Preferred
Free-standing PIDS
Intruder Detection PIDS Technology
Free-standing PIDS monitors and detects any form of intrusion from the perimeter. They offer the earliest possible warning of a potential intrusion. The best deployment for a Free-standing PID is in a sterile zone on site such as behind a physical barrier. Due to its visibility, Free-standing PIDS also act as a strong deterrent for intruders. They should be used on flat ground and in environments that will maximise their performance and minimise false alarms. Free-standing PIDS need to be protected from intrusion attempts as they can be highly visible. However its visibility can act as a strong deterrent. PIDS are most effective when forming part of a layered security approach – combined with other physical security measures and technologies. Important to find the correct balance between detection sensitivity and false alarming is achieved. This is because if sensitivity of the PIDS is set too high, there may be too many alarms to verify. However, if the sensitivity is set too low, the site may be compromised without security personnel being aware. Types of Free-standing PIDS: • Non-visible IR beams travelling between two towers. When an intruder walks in-between the towers, they break the beams, and an alert is triggered. A clear line of sight is required and should only be deployed on flat ground. This is due to reduced detection or increased false alarms in fog, snow and other low-visibility conditions. • PIR uses filters to divide their deployment area into different detection areas and monitor any changes of temperature within that area. This is commonly deployed internally, as can suffer from poor detection rates when outside. • Microwave field is generated between a sending and receiving tower. This field is incredibly sensitive to movement, therefore when an intruder walks through, it causes a reduction in its strength, and an alarm is signalled. Microwave typically need a clear line of sight, ideally in a sterile zone.
Ground-based PIDS
CMC Preferred
Ground-based PIDS
Intruder Detection PIDS Technology
As the name suggests, Ground-based PIDS are installed below ground level to provide an invisible barrier of detection around your site. Using pressure sensitive seismic or radio frequency-based sensors, above-ground activity (footsteps, digging, vehicle traffic etc) is detected without the knowledge of the object that set of the alert. This triggers an alert to the Security Control Room, whilst the intruder is still outside of site. This delay enables the SCR to verify the alarm and deploy the relevant officers. The CMC has the capability to support this function. PIDS are most effective when forming part of a layered security approach – combined with other physical security measures and technologies. As such, with other PIDS solutions, they do not offer any delay measures themselves but do provide the earliest possible warning of a potential intrusion. It is important to find the correct balance between detection sensitivity and false alarming is achieved. This is because if sensitivity of the PIDS is set too high, there may be too many alarms to verify. However, if the sensitivity is set too low, the site may be compromised without security personnel being aware. Types of Ground-based PIDS: • Microphonic or vibration-based PIDS are detectors buried in the ground to respond to vibrations caused by the impact of footfall or vehicles above them. It is worth noting that sometimes they can cause false alarm due to spurious noise around them such as passing trains or moving tree roots. • Fluid-filled PIDS are filled with antifreeze. An intruder steps on ground above the tube, changing the pressure inside and triggering an alarm. As this PID is deployed outside, antifreeze is used to combat any falls in temperature. • Ported Coaxial Cable PIDS leak radio waves from a pair of cables installed underground. An alarm is triggered when an intruder interferes with radio waves.

Audiebant Zonal Lockdown System
CMC Preferred
Audiebant Zonal Lockdown System
Mass Communication Crowd Management Technology
Audiebant zonal lockdown system is a security and safety system that allows for the activation of site lockdowns in specific, pre-determined zones or areas rather than a complete site-wide lockdown. This approach allows for precise communication so that only affected areas are secured, while other zones can continue to operate as normal. Such selective measures are particularly valuable in environments where a blanket lockdown would be impractical or disruptive. By segmenting the site, the system can implement discreet responses to emergencies, helping to prevent panic and uncontrolled evacuations. Occupants in designated zones receive instructions directing them to the nearest exit or are guided through phased exit procedures. In situations involving intruders or emergencies, specific zones can be locked down and managed independently. Instructions for affected zones can be delivered using pre-recorded messages or live verbal announcements from the Security Control Room. Communication may take place onsite or be managed remotely by Corps Security’s NSI Gold Accredited Alarm Receiving Centre, known as the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC). The zonal lockdown system is established in line with recommendations from NPSA and Counter Terrorism Policing authorities. Additionally, there is a mobile alert app, Audiesafe, that operates similarly to other mass communication tools, sending discreet notifications to users within geo-fenced areas. The app lets users mark themselves as safe or request assistance using an integrated SOS button.

Three alert modes are available on the RISK SW1 Rechargeable Metal Detector Wand. The user can choose audio and visual alarms, visual-only alerts, or vibration combined with visual indication. These settings can be cycled using a slider switch. A fixed clip is integrated into the body of the metal detector wand, enabling it to be attached securely to a belt or waistband when not in use. The RISK SW1 is supplied with a durable docking station that recharges the wand. The dock includes a battery level indicator, and the front-mounted LED signals when charging is complete. It includes a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty covering parts and labour against defects in manufacturing.
